How this converter works
Your browser is the best SVG renderer there is, so this tool has it draw the vector onto a canvas and export the pixels as a lossless PNG. The transparent background stays transparent, which is the usual reason to pick PNG over JPG for a vector. Small icons are automatically rendered at 800 pixels wide or more, which a vector handles with zero blur, and nothing is uploaded anywhere.
PNG is the natural raster twin of SVG
Logos, icons and illustrations drawn as vectors almost always sit on a transparent background and use flat colors with hard edges: exactly the content PNG stores perfectly and JPG smears. That makes SVG to PNG the default conversion for putting a logo into a slide, a document, a store listing or any upload form that rejects vectors. If the target explicitly demands a JPG, our SVG to JPG converter is the same engine with a white background.
Why the SVG got rejected in the first place
SVG files can contain scripts, so platforms that display user uploads mostly ban the extension outright rather than sanitize it. Your designer's crisp little vector is a security liability from the form's point of view. Converting a generously sized PNG copy keeps the sharpness where it matters and sails through the upload check.
